Proposed Hydro Scheme
The developer proposes to site the hydro power station in the heart of the village, in the old smithy, just metres from residents homes and adjacent to the playground. The residents have asked the developer to locate the power house further upstream to prevent damage to the salmon reds and to decrease impact to residents. The proposed move would only remove 20 metres of head from the scheme.
The diagram below shows the current locations proposed by the developer. If you think the proposed plan is unacceptable, as the Invervar community believe, then you can make an objection.
